We have lived in North Carolina for the last 2 1/2 years. We were in Black Mountain for 8 months, then moved to Cedar Mountain for 5 months, and now we have been back in Black Mountain for the last 1 1/2. Moving out east was a temporary move for us. We love the west coast where the days are sunny and the heat is dry. I have slowly and internally up to this point began to come to peace that we are going to be living here indefinitely. It may seem like no big deal to most, but being at peace with the east is kind of a big deal for me. This is not to say we are living here forever. We are constantly listening for God's leading and direction in our lives. Bryce and I are God's movable possessions and we will go without knowing when He calls. Life with God is a beautiful and exciting adventure.
My new found peace with the east brought me to the realization that I needed to cut my hair. Dreads out here are ridiculously hot! It is so humid! There is a lot of care that goes into nice clean dreadlocks and keeping them dry is a big one. Pretty hard to do here. I was missing out on some summer fun because I couldn't get them wet unless the conditions were just perfect. Here are some pics of the beginning process. More to come later.

Whoa....... 13 lbs...????? Is that what they weighed?????? Man.... I bet you head and neck feel better??? Maybe??? It wouldn't matter where you lived this summer... it's hot everywhere!!! Texas is HOT, HOT!! Only the Lord can fix it! I can't wait to see what your hair will look like. Hopefully you will be able to pull it back in a ponytail soon! :) Love you!
My 60's/70's saying: Far Out!!!
I just finished posting a message on fb and thought maybe I could get more info on your blog. And I sure did!! I bet you are really going to love having that weight off and being cooler. It has been a rough summer here with the heat but there is no humidity so I actually have done better than usual. I am back to liking my hair again only have to get up and brush it and I'm ready to go. However I'm going to ask one of my co-workers to cut some of my length off. I can't stand it sticking to me and it can get wet with me sweating and then doesn't dry for a long time. Give my baby boy Cap kisses from me. Oh I also saw the pics of Cap in the water after I sent those swim trunks. I forgot he's just out in nature and doesn't have to worry about swim trunks. Much love,Aunt tammy
oh. my. word.
