On the night of the 5th, my mom was getting ready to leave and told me that she loved me. I said, "I love you too.". It was the first time I had spoke and at this point they didn't know if I ever would be able to. When Bryce left for the night I also replied back to him saying I love you too. This was huge!
On July 6, 2013, they were starting to suspect a genetic heart problem. Now it was basically test after test while trying to maintain my current condition. EEG, Cat Scan and MRI were included in the multiple test to try and figure out what the original cause was. I had over 350 test/labs done during those 2 weeks in the hospital.
Tuolumne continued to spend lots of time with me. Cap was still off playing with grandparents, swimming in the hotel pool and with the awesome Frey family.
I was doing simple responses like squeezing hands when asked or moving my feet. I was in a drugged stupor and couldn't stay awake for any length of time.
They continued pumping me every 3 hours knowing I would want to nurse my baby when I got better. My mom fought for me with that from the beginning, but more on that later.
Pictures are out of order
T is in a milk coma
she buried her sweet head into me
My sweet mom feeding my baby when I was not able. MANY were involved in this process! Milk from all the sweet mama's who donated to us, the many nurses and family members who pumped me to keep my supply going, and also my family who fed this one all through the day and night!
it was suggested that tuolumne and i have some skin to skin time.
even though i couldn't open my eyes or talk, i smiled.
